SUMMER CLASSIC SUNDAY SCHEDULES ARE POSTED!
The Sunday game schedule for the 2018 UCBF Summer Classic is now posted. For a few of the divisions, field locations are not set as of yet, as the results from Saturday's games will determine some of the game locations. These locations will be set once seeding is updated on Saturday night of the tournament.
SUMMER CLASSIC SCHEDULES ARE POSTED!
The Saturday game schedule for the 2018 UCBF Summer Classic is now posted. The Sunday game schedule for the elimination and consolation rounds will be posted early next week.
Only typographical errors will be corrected at this point. No adjustments will be made to matchups, times, locations, etc. from this point forward unless they are deemed necessary to the success of the event in the eyes of the tournament directors.
Site layout maps can be found under the 'Site Layouts' tab.
At this point, I'm sure most of you are aware of the new USA Baseball bat standards that will go into effect as of January 1, 2018. The new guidelines impact the 13U and under age groups - 14U and up will continue with the same BBCOR standard.
The purpose of the new guidelines is to standardize the performance of all bats in the younger age groups, much like the BBCOR standards that were instilled a few years ago in the older age groups.
Although I do believe that the changes will eventually become permanent across all leagues and tournaments, the UCBF will NOT be adopting the change for 2018. Please review the tournament rules, once we post them; however, there are no major changes for our 2018 tournaments. In respect to the bat issue, we will be allowing both BPF 1.15 as well as USA Baseball stamped bats.
