Welcome to UWJFL
Union Wildcats Junior Football League and Cheerleading Team – 2019
We invite your child to participate in the Union Wildcats Junior Football League (UWJFL). UWJFL fields separate teams by grade level (3rd through 6th). Below are some details on who we are and what you can expect as a participant in our league:
UWJFL is now offering on-line registrations. Simply go to (www.leaguelineup.com/ujfl), click on register, create your account at “Blue Sombrero”, and follow the instructions for adding your participant(s). The site accepts Visa or Mastercard. If you prefer paper registration, these materials are being distributed to the schools and are also available on the handouts page of our website. The fee structure is:
Early (Register By Jun 14)
Base (Register after Jun 14)
The registration deadline is Friday, August 2nd (End of the first week of practice). In keeping with league roster deadlines, and league rules on team minimum size, we will make exceptions only under limited circumstances as determined by the Executive Board.
School is first priority for our student athletes. Practices do run late, so if your child has homework, it is best to get it done before practice begins. If there is anything your child’s coach or the league can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask.
UWJFL will have a 3-day camp this year. It will be July 22-24 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. It is not mandatory to attend the camp but we encourage all student athletes to participate.
Practice starts Monday, July 29th and we will practice four days a week: Mon-Thurs. When school begins, practice is 3 days a week, Mon, Tues, and Thurs. Practice starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00p.m.
Your child will be issued all necessary equipment except for cleats and mouth guards. Equipment issued to your child is the property of UWJFL. Your child is expected to treat it with the respect he would his own property. Do not wear game jerseys and pants to practice. Any equipment lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed while in your child’s possession must be replaced by that child’s parent or guardian. UWJFL will assume liability for any equipment damaged in practice or games. The return of all equipment is the responsibility of the participant’s parent or guardian. Failure to return equipment will result in the financial replacement of the equipment or further action if necessary.
Anyone interested in coaching must pick up a Coaching Packet from a Coaching Committee member or the league Secretary. All first year coaches must submit to a thorough background check through the Missouri State Highway Patrol. As a coach in the league, you will also need to be a certified coach with USA Football. The coaching committee will appoint coaches.
Anyone in Grades K – 8 interested in being a cheerleader should visit http://www.ullcheer.com or contact:

We are very excited about the coming season. We greatly appreciate any help you can provide. If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
