The U’s 2023 Girls Travel Team

Thank you to all of those that have expressed interest in trying out for our middle school travel team. We've been overwhelmed by the attention and support. Some roster spots are still available. Due to the continued growth of girls travel basketball and training programs in the Austin, this site is dedicated to Union 2023 Girls Travel Basketball. If you are looking for skills training, or private instruction basketball programs, please see EHOOPSPERFORMANCE.COM.

The Union 2023 girls travel basketball program grew out of the need and desire for an exciting and competitive girls’ basketball program, with all the benefits of a national travel team but without the excessive club fees. Thanks to the support of generous sponsors spring of 2018 marks the inaugural season of the Union 13U Girls team. The team will competed in tournaments across Texas and participate in summer events in Wisconsin and Florida run by Adidas, Premier Basketball, Zero Gravity and other great organizations.

Union Basketball continues to expand our opportunities for girls to better their game and achieve their dreams. In this, the first year of our travel program we have been fortunate enough to receive sponsorships to cover all cost for every player participating in the 2018 season. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors “The U 2023” can offer a first class player experience to our athletes.

What Are We Looking For?

Unlike many programs, we aren't looking for the superstar that will carry the team. We're looking for humble, hardworking kids that appreciate when others invest in their lives - kids that are a joy to coach and who love playing for and with each other. The kind of player we are looking for has been summed up best by Uconn head coach and Hall of Fame inductee, Geno Auriemma.

We've got some kids like that, but could use a few more of the same mindset. 

In our first season, the emphasis will be on skill development and winning tournaments. We'll play in (10) tournaments but will conduct skills training and practice frequently to give gentle pressure opportunities for our girls to try new things and improve their game. For more details about the program please contact the Union coaching staff union.2023.basketball@gmail.com or call 512.710.8313
