We are excited to announce that Wachusett Boys & Girls Travel Basketball will be merging starting this fall season as the Wachusett Travel Basketball League within the CMYBL. Wachusett Travel Basketball considers itself the feeder program for both the middle school and high school teams. As a united front we will better develop the players of the Wachusett District and maximize district resources. Jim Oxford and Tom Gibbons of the WRHS basketball programs are aware and fully support the merger and will work closely with the board members on continuing to develop our players.
The Wachusett Travel Basketball League operates as a private, non-profit organization that manages the winter pre-scholastic competitive basketball experience for Wachusett boys & girls in grades 4 through 8 who reside in and/or attend school in the Wachusett Regional School District. The program is operated to give the children of the Wachusett region the opportunity to play competitive team basketball in an organized league style format.
Our Goals
- Encourage fundamental development.
- Improve individual and team player skill sets.
- Provide competitive playing opportunities for children.
- Become a feeder program to middle school & high school teams.
- Encourage sportsmanship/teamwork in a fun/competitive environment.
We are looking forward to the upcoming season. Please be on the lookout for announcements regarding registration, try outs and clinics.
