2020 Season

Due to low interest WCMBA will only be offering Novice and Midget divisions this summer. Novice will only be skill sessions, and Midget will be a Bluenose league team with Covid19 protocols. Details of the season will be released shortly.....

2020 Season **UPDATE**

Due to the new COVID-19 regulations and guidelines that BNS has been forced to put in place, we are very sorry to say that WCMBA will not be offering Teeball (age 4,5,6) this summer. Hopefully things will return to normal next summer and these children can get back on the field.

WCMBA will be offering summer skill sessions (no games) to house league age groups. This will be dependant on having appropriate number of players registering and the needed volunteers stepping forward. Please contact Mike Spencer (mikespencer@eastlink.ca) or text (902)899-5010 or Scott Smith (scottsmith_360@hotmail.com) or text (902) 899- 7756, with parent's name, child's name and age, and indicate if you would like to volunteer to help on the field. Deadline to register is June 19th. The details and registration costs of these sessions will be determined once the interest level is shown. Note: this will be a very different summer in regards to baseball, and things could change throughout the season.

Midget Bluenose league team will be soon having practices in hopes that the Bluenose league will start in July. These practices will be starting as soon as the field renovations are complete. This team will be reliant on whatever BNS decides this summer will bring. Costs for this team will be determined as soon as the season becomes a bit more clear. If you haven't already made contact with your interest of this team, please do so at mikespence@eastlink.ca.

2020 Season update coming.....

There will be an update coming on the direction the WCMBA will be going for the 2020 season in the next couple days. WCMBA are working through the tough decisions and different possibilities for all divisions. We appreciate your patience with this.

2020 Baseball/Teeball Season update

Due to the current situation with Covid19, all baseball activities including the 2020 registration, have been postponed to a later date.

Under the direction of Baseball NS, associations are to delay all baseball related activities until further notice.

Baseball NS has continued to meet remotely and have relayed regular updates to the different associations. The overall goal is to still have a 2020 season, even if it is a shortened version. Something to be aware of is, once the "go ahead" is given, everything will be happening very quickly to get the kids on the field, so please check regularly on this website and Facebook for updates.

This "go ahead" will only happen if the virus is stopped to the point where the Provincial government deems it is safe to resume regular daily activities. Please be safe, and follow the guidelines.......the sooner we can beat this, the quicker the kids will be back on the field.

TIDE WINS TITLE

The Masstown Hardware Tide captured the BHTMBA peewee/bantam title with a close 7-6 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday night at the Stanfield's ball field. The Tide enjoyed a 4-2 lead going into the final inning, to only watch the Jays put up 4 runs to take a 6-4 lead. In the home half of the inning, with 2 outs, bases loaded and the score still 6-4 Jays, Cole (Clutch) Turner hit a game tying single. Next batter Cameron Myatt battled to get a walk to keep the inning alive, which put the game in Damian Howell's hands. With Zachary Dykstra ready on third base, Damian poked an opposite field single through the infield to score the winning run. Hats off to the Blue Jays who played a great series, and congrats to the TIDE for the win and an awesome season.
