As school winds down, basketball season picks up at Woodside. Over the past few weeks players have practiced and run scrimmages to get prepared for the upcoming regular season opener this weekend. There have been a few standouts in scrimmages this past week that could possibly change the course of the season. The standouts i'm talking about are Marty, Collin, and Jared. They all showed great skills on offense and defense.
Marty has come up big in the preseason, he has knocked down a lot of big shots and made great defensive plays.He was a huge sleeper coming into the season, no one knew what to expect going into the season but now his team has a chance of being at the top of the league and are a dark horse to win the title.
Collin was a great late pick up for Big $exy's team. He has shown flashes of greatness, Bell has made defensive plays and made some big offensive plays. He made a good team even better, his defensive skills add more depth to a already deep defensive lineup. His offensive ability is also a great addition to this roster.
Even though Jared was a first round pick he seemed not to get a lot of attention in the preseason yet he is still a great player and has shown it in the preseason. He is a great passer and is a very intelligent player with a high basketball IQ. He has potential to be a sleeper of the year pick and one of the best players around.
Look for these players to make a big impact this year for their respective teams and possibly shack up the leagues standings and change the championship race.
