Youth Basketball of America, the premier youth membership organization in the sport of basketball, strives to provide opportunities for personal growth and development of youth athletes while also reinforcing positive influences, self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to excel on and off the court. Through participation, YBOA is dedicated to educate and motivate each member while encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship and fun through the spirit of basketball.

Youth Basketball of America is a truly unique organization which offers league development,tournaments,educational clinics,scholarships,discounted insurance programs,materials and merchandise for member organizations.

At YBOA,we pride ourselves in having a program run by people who work with sports-minded youngsters.

A national basketball organization with international affiliates in Canada,Mexico,Puerto Rico,South America,Central America and Europe,YBOA was founded in 1989 by Donald A.Ruedlinger in Orlando,Florida.

The principles upon which YBOA was established were developed from Ruedlinger's more than twenty-year association with children and coaches while running leagues and directing local,state,regional and national tournaments from Orlando.
