Updated Info as of 8/15/21:

The previous ownership and jurisdiction of the YKL is no longer in service.  A new ownership may or may have already taken over and forming a new kickball league in York. I have no information on or about this. When or if this happens, the YKL will be named a different name under the new ownership. This website may or may not still be running AFTER August 2021, depending on what the new ownership plans and wants to do. If a new ownership does take over, they will be contacting previous captains from the league to give more information. Thank you for all the memories and wonderful times the league inquired since Matt Beard started it in 2004. I appreciate the opportunity from Matt to be a part of playing and running the league!  Thanks Again,

  2nd Annual M.F.B Unity Bowl- Saturday 10/29/16

  WEST 4  EAST 3   Final

 The 2016 M.F.B Unity Bowl was another excellent showdown by YKL's East and West

divisions here on Hoffman 3 on Saturday 10/29/16. Low scoring and tough defense made

this game another classic one in the books to watch just like in 2015!  The West led by

honorary captains Matt Binko (BB) and Mike King (CT) were one better than the East for

the second year in a row led by honorary captains Dylan Keim (JM), Seth Henschen (KM),

and Derek Markey (KB) on Saturday. The most important thing though was that both teams

joined together following a tight game to get a YKL photo. The winning run in the game came

in the top of the 10th by Menace 2 Sobriety's Rachel Hess sacrificed by Brew U's Sergeant

Slider whom was substituted by his twin to come in and kick! Thank you all who participated

and attended the game!

     Two Men that Stuck Out at the 2nd Annual M.F.B Unity Bowl

Who are they?

"Mr. Mike Funke"

One of YKL's finest, funnest, and funniest players to play the game. Mike was one of the

originals that helped Matt Beard (Former "Commish") start the YKL in 2004. Mike and Matt

played and won 3 former league championships with the Ghostmen and currently still play.

You heard Mike this past Saturday on his giant microphone!

"Mr. Matt Beard"

Ladies and gentlemen meet the founder and creator of the YKL!!  Matt Beard (Formerly

called "Commish") started this great league in 2004 with 4 teams! Matt ran the league

for 9 years before giving the league to his brother Nick Beard (El Presidente) for a year and

now currently being operated by Dwayne Neff (Sergeant Slider). The MFB UNITY BOWLS

each year are named after Matt and played in his honor. He supposively was dressed up

as Sergeant Slider this past Unity Bowl and was part of a humorous conspiracy substitution

in the 10th inning that gave the West their 2nd Unity Bowl win in a row!
