The Pioneers (18-8) lose to the Wheelersburg Pirates by the score of 7-0 on Wednesday at home. ZT faced by far the best pitcher they have seen all season who was coming off injury for Wheelersbug. Zane Trace only had three hits and struckout 14 times. Lukas Oiler had a double. Gunnar McCullough and Jacob Stauffer both added a hit.
The Pioneers trailed 1-0 after four innings. Then, the Pirates scored six runs in the last three innings to get the final score.
Zane Trace will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Miami Trace for the last regular season game.
