FRESHMAN NUMERALS:
To be eligible for freshman numerals, a team member must:
1. Be a ninth grader.
2. Be at practice every day.
3. Compete in as many meets as possible.
4. Be willing to do whatever it takes to help the team.
5. Be respectful to teammates and the coaching staff.
JUNIOR VARSITY LETTER:
To be eligible for a junior varsity letter, a team member must:
1. Be at practice every day.
2. Compete in as many meets as possible.
3. Be willing to do whatever it takes to help the team.
4. Contribute to the scoring in at least one meet.
5. Be respectful to teammates and the coaching staff.
VARSITY LETTER:
To be eligible for a varsity letter, a team member must:
1. Be at practice every day.
2. Compete in as many meets as possible.
3. Complete any of the following:
*Score an average of at least 1.5 points per dual meet in
individual events or score at least 20 points including relays (1/4 of points earned per relay) example: first place relay gets 8 points, each swimmer would get 2 pts.
*Place in the top 16 in a championship meet such as the GMC's.
(This is your overall place - including unattached swimmers)
*Qualify and compete in the NJSIAA Individual Swimming
Championships alone or as a member of a relay team.
*The Head Coach reserves the right to award a Varsity Letter for certain exceptions and any special situations he feels are appropriate.
