🏀 CYBL Season Update for Parents

We are excited to get the 2026 CYBL basketball season back in full swing! Below is an important schedule update so everyone can plan accordingly.

📅 Practice Schedule

Practices resume on:
Monday, January 5, 2026

All teams will return to regular practice schedules starting this week.

🟦 Opening Weekend: Skill-Up & Scrimmage Weekend

January 10–11, 2026

To help all teams get back into rhythm, especially those impacted by December school events, the first weekend will be structured as follows:

Each team will have:

• 30 minutes of practice

• Followed by 30 minutes of a scrimmage game

This format allows players to:

• Get comfortable on the court

• Learn team systems

• Adjust to live game play

• Help newer and returning teams prepare evenly

These games are for development and preparation.

🏆 Official Games Begin

Saturday, January 17, 2026

Standings, league play, and full competition officially begin this weekend.

👕 Uniform Distribution

Uniforms will be handed out during practices during the week of:

January 12 – January 16

Players will receive:

• Game jersey

• Shorts

• Any team-issued gear

Please make sure your child attends practice that week so they can receive their uniform on time.

We appreciate your patience and support as we get everyone ready for a great season. This format ensures fairness, safety, and the best experience for all players across the league.
