The purpose of the Louisville Youth Football League is to place each child first. We will provide the children of the Louisville area with quality instructional football and cheer programs which develop character, a sense of responsibility, promote teamwork, develop self-esteem and promote good citizenship in our participants.

Age Groups and divisions
Mighty Mite division Ages 5,6 and 7 Weight limit to carry ball 75 lbs.
Pee Wee division Ages 8 and 9 Weight limit to carry ball 100 lbs.
Junior division Ages 10 and 11 Weight limit to carry ball 125 lbs.
* Player can not turn 15 before December 1st. nor be a high school freshman.

March 15 - Cluster USA Football Enrollment Deadline
April 12 - 1st Official LYFL On Site Sign Ups
April 19 - 2nd Officail LYFL On Site Sign Ups
May 1 - League Fees Due and deadline.
June 23 - 1st Day of Official Practice (Helmets & Shorts)
June 27-30 - Dick's LYFL Day with 20% off entire purchase (Valid in store only with one coupon per per customer)
July 7 - 1st Day of Full Gear Practice.
July 12 - KFOA Training & In person LYFL certification (St. Stephen Family Life Center).
July 19 - Coaches Background Checks due and USA football certification deadline.
July 25 - Deadline for first parent meeting
July 26 - League Weigh Ins (Newburg Park Pavilion)
August 2- LYFL Pigskin Classic (Shawnee High School)
August 9 - 1st Regular Season Game
August 20 - Late Weigh Ins (deadline to add coaches)
October 18 - LYFL Playoffs (Shawnee High School)
October 25 - LYFL Championship Games (Central High School)

POLICE/PEACE OFFICER AT ALL GAME SITES
The safety of our staff, kids and fans is very important to us. Each league is required to have a police/peace officer on site during all games. We also observe a "Zero Tolerance" rule against all disruptive behavior at our games and events. Firearms are not allowed at any LYFL activity.
