William Sayles began his career at the age of 8. Sayles attended Denby High School, as a freshman where he took the junior varsity by storm by averaging an amazing 24 points per game. Not willing to wait his turn as a varsity player, Sayles took his talent to Notre Dame Prep High School, in Harper Woods, MI., for the Catholic League. Sayles graduate in 1986 with All State Honors, All 1st Team East Honors, All Metro East Honors, All Catholic Honors and averaged 21 points per game, 6 assists and 3 rebounds per game. That was before the 3 point line came into affect the following year. He received a full scholarship to attend Michigan Christian College, now known as Rochester College. There he received numerous honors, the most honorable one was being selected an All-American his 2nd season. One game, Sayles scored a school record of 50 points in 1 game. Sayles, had a few tryouts with overseas and semi-pro teams, but unfortunatly came up short, but that hasn't stop his love for the game. Sayles love for the game has always and will always be a very strong part of him. That's what he does and gives back the younger kids. Sayles, goal is yes to teach basketball but with his knowledge and skills not only will the kids "boys or girls" learn about basketball but about life to further themselves as productive human beings in society. Sayles says "you are a student 1st and an athlete 2nd". This is my 1st year of coaching, I'm very excited to stat and get to working with the kids.

Sayles, family includes his children, son Joshua and daughters Tiara and Kamora.
