A former Marines originally from New York City. He has been coaching throughout San Diego, CA for 30 plus years. Has coached multiple sports at the Adult, AAU/BCI/National, PAL, Elementary School, High School level, and Special Olympics. A member of the National Federation of State High School Assoications (NFHS)and NCAA-certified. Coach Louie is part of the San Diego Cougars legacy that contributed to many male and female players moving on to the next level while becoming college educated and productive adults. Knows the game and believes in preparation, practice, and teaching it the right way. He has also evaluated and coached national caliber players at the Adidas Phenom Basketball Camps. A NBA Summer League Player Development observer.

He's a coach trying to give back to others. Also, understand that coaching has many different aspects and you have to wear many hats for different reasons. When it comes to players; he tries to support them with the importance of education, sometimes having to be part social worker, always remembering how hard parenting can be, having a big brother mentality, but always a consistent disciplinarian as well as others depending on the environment and/or situation. Coach Louie is very passionate about assisting our youth in their development as individuals through all sports. His goal remains the same to coach with the hope to lend his knowledge and life experiences to as many as possible.
