5-6 Boys Clinic Information
The 5-6 year old boys Clinic division meets two times a week: Once during the week, and once on the weekend (usually Saturday, but occasionally Sunday as needed). The weeknight meeting is usually a practice, and weekends are typically games. Saturday times will usually be between 9am and 1pm. Exact Sunday times are TBD, but rest assured that they will always be 1:00pm or later.

If you have a conflict on a particular weeknight, please let us know during the registration process (you can list one night as a conflict), and we'll make sure your child is assigned to a team that does NOT practice on that night.

Primary locations will be Woodholme Elementary, Summit Park Elementary, and Fort Garrison Elementary, although there may be other locations TBD as needed.

The weeknight session is a one-hour practice, and the weekend session is a one-hour "game" that will consist of a short practice, followed by a loosely structured game that is meant to be instructional and to teach the kids the basics of playing in a real game situation. As learning (and fun!) are the most important aspects of the Clinic, score is not kept.

Practice begins in mid-November. The regular season starts in early December and runs through late February. There are no playoffs for this division.

All players will receive a uniform consisting of shirt and shorts, as well as a participation trophy at the end of the season.

The 5-6 boys Clinic division uses a 27.5-inch basketball (size 5) and plays on 8 foot rims. While it's not necessary for players to have a ball, players who do have a ball should bring it to practice. Players are responsible for providing their own rubber-soled shoes.

Age is determined as of August 31.
