The second year, the top four finishers from the "A" State Tournament were invited to join. After that, the four last place teams were replaced by the top 4 finishers from the "A" States. A number of the top "A" teams declined the invitation. If the four slots were not filled by the top 6 "A" teams, the teams who were cut were invited back, in order.
Twenty-two game schedule - 11 double headers
$1,000 to the winner $300, second $200, third
Ern-Els/Tate Chrylser won the league each of the first four years with an overall record of 77-11
