| Just wanted to say great run, guys. I don't think any of the veteran Riverview guys expected your team to do much this year, but I think we were all impressed, as we were with your ability to stay classy, something most young guy teams cannot do. Good luck next year and tell Gastuch to go back to school.

| Well stated knuck and I will add this.....the Hopkins club was a class act all the way around and there are older clubs then they are who are not nearly as good who seem to warrant popping off and acting like idiots.
A plethora of props to Hopkins and in all my years of town ball (20) I cannot think of team that improved more from one season to the next then Hopkins did this year.
Well done and all of you should do your best to stay together and handle the potential turnover of players in the future. If you do that you will be a team to reckon with for many years to come.
Much Respect and Good Work!

| Oh yes Jose you are the cat looking for a team are you not? "Help someone out?" That could very well be the case however I can only speak for our team we have several guys over the years say this that and the other thing about how good they are and where they came from; only to find out later at a lite work out they were merely donkeys.
We had one cat say he played minor league ball and seriously I saw him miss a routine fly ball by 20 feet.
No disrespect and you may be able to help someone or many teams out but asking for a team here on the forum is not going to get it done.
Most everyone will completely ignore your post(s)......a lot of teams are intact, others are basically groups of college players who come back from where ever because they played high school ball together.....there are veteran loaded teams ect. ect.
Take the time to check out various teams web sites, drop them an email and take it from there.
Just trying to help you out so you can help soem club out as this would not be the best avenue to try to locate a team regardless of how good you are.

| haha I dont know what to think about that last post...or the one before it. Jose: after your recent on field discretions I would be afraid you might be a biter and wouldn't put my teammates in that sort of danger.

| Therer is no way that was the...THE JIM BOTTEN!
If it was he then we should all take note; I am an old guy by todays standards at 39 but the first time I saw J.B. was in 1988 out at Hamel.
I saw this old gray haired cat swining literally four bats in the on deck circle, one or two with weights on them.
I was a young buck, threw hard and was not all that smart. I thought "who in the hell is this old guy."
Simply stated and I remember is clearly, he hit a 2-2 slurve for a slap base hit to right like it was old hat.
Much props to the real J. Botten...
