Are there any Class A teams who have interest in "baseball guys" working any of their non-league games as umpires?

I am dead serious about this and in the very preliminary stages of considering it with a small group of former players who are "baseball guys."

These gentleman and myself don't have a lot of umpiring experience but the strengths we do have are the important ones.

1) Good and consistent strike zones
2) Hustle
3) Approachability
4) Solid Demeanor
5) A baseball background
6) We "get it"

Why pay non baseball guys $110 per game so you can watch all their style points and flair for the cameras when non of us care about or know any thing at all in regards to all that crap. The same wasted energys umpires are taught and expected to do.

Why pay that amount when you can get a guy who knows the game and understands what players and managers appreicate from an umpire for say a ballpark of 70-80 bones per game?

Again just in the feeler stage of looking into this and wanted to get some prelim feedback off this forum.

All I am asking for is serious responses from anyone because I am being dead serious.

If you think it is a stupid idea, great one or have questions post them here or feel free to call me any time.
