| We have reached the end of the year and for fun I thought I would throw out some awards and predict the single elim games for Saturday. All of the seedings are set except for Rats/Rocks which will be decided tonight.
Single Elim Matchups
Angels v. Blue Sox - I do not think the Angels will allow the Blue Sox to get their first win in 2-3 years in the playoffs. Angels 10-0.
Rocks v. Merchants - Rocks are sure to throw Cousins and Merchants will throw Laukkonen...both pitchers can shut down an offense...Rocks should take this one but the Merch have shocked teams on single elim before. Rocks 5-3.
Cobras v. Rats - Cobras should shake off a rough game vs Rats in last matchup. Rats certainly have a good chance at an "upset" here with their speed and young pitching. Cobras 6-5.
End of year awards...
Pitcher of the Year - M.McDonald (Patriots), Put the Pats in the Win column every time he pitched...Had some big time wins as well.
Hitter of the Year - Great options here, M.Rink (Cobras), While the Cobras record hasn't been the best Rink has remained one of the toughest outs in the league. Honorable Mentions - Ingaldson (Rocks), Seaman (Patriots), Carrell (Angels), Schildgen (Pub), Wilson-Traisman (Lakers)
Most Improved Team of the Year - Lakers
Best Parking Lot Team - Angels
Best Website - (upset) Blue Sox (tcbluesox.com)
