1) Stockmen’s Irish (17-3) (10-0)
On a collision course with Minnetonka for the state title.
2) Minnetonka Millers (24-3-1) (4-1)
Officially back to the chase for the state title and leading muddled Riverview.
3) St. Louis Park (20-8) (3-2)
Solidifying the second slot in Riverview.
4) FanHQ Fantoms (9-2) (6-1)
Staying in the middle for a while, second best team in Skyline.
5) Minneapolis Angels (12-7) (6-2)
On top of Park National.
6) St. Paul Shamrocks (8-5) (6-3)
Solid club and still look to make state tournament.
7) St. Paul Capitals (14-9) (7-2)
Grabbed a couple league victories to reclaim first in St. Paul league.
8) Hopkins Berries (9-3) (5-1)
Dropped a game to Minnetonka, beat Bloomington and looks like a tough team in Riverview.
9) Bloomington Bandits (13-7) (5-2)
Tough weekend in Cambridge ... need to get on track.
10) American Pie Patriots (11-10) (6-3)
Solid club in a wide open Park National.

Dropped: No teams dropped from the previous rankings.

Next In: ? – Rosetown was the big noise maker before dropping some league games. Are they flaming out or are they in a funk? Lakers and Pub are making a comeback as well.

Random Thoughts: Park National – what the heck? Who knows where this league is going this season. Lyons Pub is quickly moving up, now sitting at 10-14 and 3-6 in league. The Lakers are towards the top of the standings and may be figuring things out after a rough patch. The Angels and Patriots are solid and consistent clubs. Skyline has Stockmen’s and FanHQ going to state, who is next? St. Paul league looks tough as heck this year. Caps, Shamrocks and who is stepping up for the last spot? Riverview has Minnetonka winning it all in their final year in A ball. Park looks like a lock in second and then it comes down to Bloomington and Hopkins.

Park National is indeed still up in the air. My observations are that the Angels are probably the best team come playoffs due to having 3 top of the line starting pitchers. Lakers are hard to assess as they are solid and young but dont have great starting pitching and dont always have all there guys there. Patriots have a dominant ace and 2 to 3 decent arms in the rotation. Line-up lacks punch down in the order. Cobras with Rink back have probably one of the better hitting line-ups in the league but not having dominant pitching depth may be a concern. Will have to outhit there opponents. Merchants are improved this season and pitching might be there strong point with 3-4 solid arms and added 3 quality hitters. Wont win many high scoring games but pitching depth should help them come playoffs. Lyons Pub could easily run the table the rest of the way. Line-up is as good as any when they are gelling but feel that there lack of any overpowering pitchers will be there downfall. Rats are a scrappy group that can compete with anyone but arent dominant in pitching or hitting. Dont put up a lot of runs and will need to win the low scoring games. Blue Sox come to have fun and are not concerned with winning. Enough said. Should be interesting to see how the playoff match-ups play out.
