| Lots of good games and some major upsets in the first weekend.
Pub vs Park was everything I expected in a one run game. Bloomington destroyed Patriots much to my surprise. Stockmens held up there end beating Rosetown. Shamrocks prove that regular season means nothing and destroyed Tri-City, expected a win but not 15-3.
Park not surprisingly took care of Blue Package Bloomington easily shut down the Hogs hitters like I thought, only expecting it to be Patriots. Cobras ace breezed through Stockmens line-up in a pitchers duel, expected a little bit more offense in that one. I was not expecting a 2009 repeat but Shamrocks did it again and not only won but shutout Millers. Very Impressive stuff.
Final Four: Park vs Shamrocks = I dont know where the Shamrocks have been all year but after seeing them play in state I have to go with them as they are riding high. It wont be easy. Shamrocks 5 Park 4
Cobras vs Bloomington = Both teams have a great ace now the question is do both come back with them on 4 days rest? I bet they do and should be a low scoring game. I believe Cobras have a better line-up and give them the edge. Cobras 4 Bloomington 2
Cobras vs Shamrocks = I will leave this one up for discussion as I have no clue but think these two teams are the best left and should be a game worth watching for anyone who enjoys baseball
Good luck everyone

| Don't forget that the Final Four is also a double elimination bracket that may be a great test to a team's depth over 3 days.

| Depth indeed could come in to play. If that is the case I would lean heavily towards Park having the most pitching. Then again it is only a four team double elimination not eight.
If Shammies come back with their guy (The Tonka Killer) Park represents a similar match up. However, Park has been tearing the cover off the ball the last 15 or so games. I believe they had thirty hits this past weekend.
I definitely want the gardner snakes to prevail and represent the PNash. However they will have their work cut out for them.
With that being typed Bloomington's representation in the tourney thus far should silence the doubters in the SL and SP leagues.
Remember It took Park two ten inning games to beat Edina just to get to state. Hopkins was no push over for Bloomington either.
These match ups could either way.
What I will stand by is Park being in the championship game. The snakes can not loose their first game of the double elimination if they want to hold the iron.
Regardless of who wins all four teams would be deserving of the trophy. Good Work!

| Not sure what a 2009 repeat is but Millers won title in 09, 10 and 12 beating Shams in 09 and twice in 10. I believe Shams beat millers in 08 in the year they did not win it. Good luck to Sham's however as they are obviously playing quite well.

| Hey Conley did you get to pitch against your former team Park? We all want to know if you will be back again next year to grace us with your presence and posts as well.
Im sure the posts will continue but seeing you on the mound is another story. For the betterment of baseball I hope to see you back my friend.

| I did not pitch against my former club.
I will be coming back next year. However at the ripe age of soon to be 45 one never knows I could blow something up in the off season.
Also, I am going to make a serious attempt at learning a legit knuck. That could turn out to be any thing from futile to dominating. Why not?
Today's predictions:
Park over Bandits
Cobras are hot and will knock the on a roll shammies to the looser bracket.
Park split double header will be tough but I am going to pick them to advance.
Cobras vs. Park or Shammies will be two games and could go either way. I like all three clubs and honestly can't confidently pick one over the other.
The Cobras only potential down fall is perhaps having less pitching then the rest.
Who plays the best or worst defense and the most pop will be the story of the weekend. Not pitching.

| Re: Cobras
I did rip on them a bit due in part to the fact that I know three of their players relatively well.
I will still stand by my original statements regarding their pitching depth or perhaps lack there of.
Wooden Nickel...Borman should get the ball.
Game one in the first three innings is the key to the day.
Lastly, now being a PNash player I obviously want the Cobras to win even if I did "bash" them all year.

| The cobras are a bunch of classless goons. Biggest bush league team in A ball, it's sad to see them in the ship. Good luck to the shamrocks.
