Good morning everyone.
I hope that you had a great 2011 summer season. We started off a bit wet but once we got going the weather was great this summer.
As the primary users of our facilities, you the user groups know our fields and diamonds best. Normally groups contact us in the spring to let us know about issues that need to be fixed before they get to using a facility. The problem with this is that in the spring the grass is growing like crazy and the staff are busy getting things fields laid out and ready for play.
If you can take a moment and think about the parks you played in this summer and let us know of any items that are broken or need attention. Since many soccer fields are re-sodded each season we are not looking for this. Items to consider would be gates, fencing, missing equipment or dangerous infield/outfield transitions. We can compile a list and start working on items over the winter. This will take some of the pressure off the staff in the spring and allow us to get to more items.
