TOPIC: Duchess Tigers Food Drive for Markham Food Bank |

Mike Clausner came up with the idea that we all got behind with each teammate donating what money they could for the Markham Food Bank. We ended up at $960 and called the food bank and asked what they needed most this season. Mike then reached out to No Frills at 16th & Markham and bought what they needed which was rice, sugar, peas, crackers, jam, jello and toothpaste. Food Bank volunteers met us at the store this Sunday with their van and we loaded them up and they were on their way.
We encourage the rest of the teams in the league to pull together and raise what they can to end hunger in our community.
Thanks Mike, Trevor and the entire Duchess team for you generosity.
