The rules are simple, FIFA rules.

If you guys want slide tackling, majority rules.

Unlimited Substitutions will be done at midline only with referee(s) approval and at any dead ball.
Minimum to play is 7 players - FIFA rule

Watch language towards one's self

Can't interupt goal keeper or throw in - FIFA rule, Penalty yellow card

Yellow Card rule - FIFA says you may stay on field, Some leagues you must be subed and you have to sit out until next available sub. 6 vs 6 - you are man short for 3 minutes or until other teams scores.

We'll go with FIFA rule unless you guys say otherwise !

Any other rules, address here by Saturday !!

When you say same field, you are referring to the FIFA field and not the one we scrimmaged on today, right...

We'll keep it simple, but the heat will be a problem looking at the 12 pm game. I'd rather have later games for you guys.

I vote no sliding, reason being this is a league with older gentleman, no one needs to get hurt.

I kind of like the idea of having a no slide tackle rule. Only because a lot of people in rec soccer do not know how to properly slide tackle. No need to increase our chances of injuries.

I have to work monday I vote no slide tackling. Even a well executed slide tackle that contacts the ball first. Usally gets some of the leg.

yeah, as much as it takes from the game by not having it, I have to agree, no slide tackling.
Well put Jim, even a good slide tackle carries the risk of injury.

First everyone wants FIFA rules then they don't. Well what is it? I vote to keep the slide tackling legal.

firedawg, I would love to have slide tackling, but take it from a guy that has been injured twice from soccer (not complaining, it is part of the game) Things happen and being out of work is difficult at best. Having slide tackling is one more avenue to get hurt and out of work and worse, out of the game.
I would vote to keep everything else FIFA

I agree once again with keeping FIFA rules, but we all play this as enjoyment and our means of income coming from other places, by staying on our feet, we will do ourselves a better service. I think all of us can agree with that.

I have 2 bad ankles and 1 bad knee from fifa rules on slide tackling. I think for this rec league i could do without slide tackling.

How do 6 opinions of being in favor of no slide tackling mean that everyone else agrees with that? I think we should have more than the opinion of 6 individuals before the league comes to a decision on this.

As for slide tackling, well it is too late to take it away.
The first meeting for 11 vs 11, there were people from 3 of the 6 teams present and we all agreed on slide tackling. If you guys don't want it, the meetings are the place to do it at.
The srimage games, I asked players again if they wanted slide tackling and nobody told me NO.

Sorry, but I havent had the time for 2 weeks to check the board. If i would have saw the comments of no slide tackling, I would have talked to everyone on the 1st game !

One ref enforced the rules today equally and fairly. To him, great game. The other did not and players got hurt.
