| My hat is off to you sir and to Thunderstruck. You guys had a remarkable season this wed winter league only allowing one team to score on you up til the finals. Thats a great feat. Its hard luck you started with 5 players for the first 5 minutes of the championship game. But, your hardwork over the seasons has definately paid off and deservedly so. Kudos! And thanks for the congrats.
Side note: ya, things got a little intense at the end of last nights game. If its one thing i learned from Darrel, its to try and keep your head on straight while the emotions are high. I know in the past ive been all for getting into verbal arguments on the field, but Darrel has taught me a lot...its just not worth it and gets no one anywhere. We're all out here for the same reason, have fun and play soccer.
I tried to keep my guys in line thinking back now, i could have done a better job. I wish we could have taken a quick minute timeout to get our teams on the sideline so the managers could give them a quick word...i hate shouting at my players. heh. But hey, were all real people and we all have real lives when the game is over. If you ever wanna go for a beer after the game, ask..im all open for talking after games and sharing some laughs.
