The Vikings had a strong showing at the Group IV State Championships, with 4 athletes earning medals and a total of 7 who will qualify to compete at the Meet of Champions!
Melanie La Corte finished 4th in the High Jump (5'2), Dafina Simon-Ponte finished 5th in the 800 (2:21.78), Liz Matticoli was 6th in the Shot Put (36-6.5), and Khushi Gupta was 6th in the High Jump (5'2)!
In addition to the four mentioned, Yashika Chidirala's time of 11:24.60 in the 3200 also earned her a wildcard to MOC, while the 4x800 team also qualified based on their season best, with Serena Hutchison and Nina Liu joining Simon-Ponte and Chidirala on that team!
