Karben4 A's bottle up Home Brewers
On a Friday night that was finally not as hot as a Tokyo Sauna, the visiting Karben4 A's downed the home Home Brewers 12-5 in a Block Party at Verona's 5th Quarter field. A's Pitcher Kyle Lane kept the Home Brewer bats relatively quiet, scattering 4 hits over the first 4. Brent Perzentka, Mike Kauffman, and Craig Sauer led the A's with 2 hits each, and Brian Lussier had a 3 for 3 day at the plate for the HB's. Dan Haueter came close to launching his 4th bomb of the year, but crafty veteran right fielder Bill Nowak had Lady Luck on his side, robbing the A's catcher with a tremendous leaping grab over the top of the RF wall, a catch ordered direct from the Fantasy Factory.
