A's strike early and often to hold off short handed Monarchs
The A's scored 7 runs in the 2nd on their way to 13 total to keep the Monarchs at bay. The Monarchs played with only 8 and it hurt them. Both teams tallied 10 hits. Dan Hauter smoked a grand slam in the 2nd inning and finished with 5 RBI and three hits and a walk to lead the A's to a big post season win. Andrey Hansbro took the loss in a complete game effort while Kyle Lane got the win for the A's. Brent Perzentka finished the game on the mound for the victors with 3 innings of 1 run ball to notch the save.
