2009 Guilderland Baseball Travel teams
Parents of the players listed please submit a $100 nonrefundable deposit by December 1st. This will secure the player’s position and your commitment to joining this team. The remaining $100 is due by March 15th when the rec registration is due. Please remember all travel players on 13,14, and 15 year old teams need to participate in the rec program.

Travel Try-out Information
Dear Parents and Players,
I would like to thank everyone for attending the tryouts on September 28th and October 5th. Your interest and participation in Guilderland Baseball is appreciated. The formation of a team where there is more interest than positions is one of the most difficult parts of the process. On November 1st, GBR will post the names of the players who will compete for the Guilderland travel teams next summer on the Guilderland Babe Ruth web site.
If you are not placed on one of these travel teams, we will put together a second travel team in the Spring if we have enough interest. If you know anyone who did not attend tryouts and is interested in playing on a travel team, please have them e-mail me at epierce99@nycap.rr.com. Last year we had a second travel team for the 13 & 15 year old players. Please register for the rec program and watch the website for more details on the travel program. Thanks again for your interest and hope to see you at the park.

GUIDE TO GUILDERLAND BABE RUTH LEAGUE, LLC
This program is open to all players 13-18 years of age who reside in our district (Guilderland, Voorheesville, Berne-Knox-Westerlo). It has many levels of play available to all players.
Babe Ruth Baseball
13 year old players:
This age group begins their Babe Ruth career in what is called “Preps”. The name comes from Babe Ruth League Inc. and is short for “preparing” the LL player in transitioning to a major league size field. This age group plays only against other 13 year old teams in our League.
14 and 15 year old players:
These two age groups play together in what is called “Majors”.
Note: For above age groups, all registered players are placed on a team and must play 3 innings of every game and a full game every 3rd game.
All Star competition at all 3 age groups in July.
16-18 Senior Babe Ruth:
For players that either do not qualify for the Mickey Mantle or Connie Mack teams or prefer not to play at a more competitive level. All players are placed on a team based on their age, postmark date of the registration form and availability of managers and coaches.
Eastern New York Babe Ruth Travel Baseball (ENYBR)
For players 13-15, inter-league competitive play with teams in the Eastern New York Division of Babe Ruth. All players are placed on a team based on their age, postmark date of the registration form and availability of managers and coaches. www.enybaberuth.org
Eastern New York Travel Baseball (ENYTB)
5 levels of competitive baseball for players that participate in our program, 13u, 14u, 15u, Mickey Mantle and Connie Mack.
13u, 14u and 15u
These three levels of baseball are all competitive levels and require a tryout. GBR attempts and encourages all players interested in playing a more competitive level of baseball to attend the tryouts. This age group also must meet the GBR/ENYTB policy and guidelines to play in this age group travel program.
Mickey Mantle
A 16u level of play. It is a competitive level of baseball through ENYTB and is franchised with American Amateur Baseball Congress. Players for this team will be contacted for a tryout.
Connie Mack
A 18u level of play. It is a competitive level of baseball through ENYTB and is franchised with American Amateur Baseball Congress. Players for this team will be contacted for a tryout.

Add 1 year to age for Fall Ball age groups
Please use the blue garbage cans to recycle your bottles and cans. Thanks to the SHERIDAN family for handling the recycling program this year. There were 1000s of bottles and cans that were recycled instead of ending up in our landfill.
