Quite a day in Noel Road! Game 5--Noel Road 2 Pictou County 1. Game 6 Noel Road 4 Yarmouth 3 in 8 innings Aaron Nickerson had a home run. This forced a game7. It was a 9-0 forfeit by Yarmouth to Noel Road with Noel Road leading at the time. As is customary in a forfeit all statistics and the score are wiped out and the result is recorded as a 9-0 forfeit.

The home runs were flying in Noel Road today, six in total. Game I saw Yarmouth edge Pictou County 3-2 in nine innings. Trevor Whynott and Scott Jeffery each had 2 run shots. Game 2 went to Noel Road 3-2 over the Windsor Knights. Game 3 was won by Pictou County 8-0.over Windsor. Matt Noiles cranked a 3 run home run in the first inning. Game 4 went to Yarmouth 8-7 after Noel Road made a spirited comeback in the top of the seventh inning. Kennie Miller had a single home run and a two run shot. Darren Ogden answered with a three run shot of his own.

Wouldn't a simple fix be to break the divisions up where you place the 1 seed from the NSIBL in pool A, the 1 seed from metro in Pool B, the 2 seed from metro in Pool A, the 2 seed from NSIBL in Pool B, the 3 seed from the NSIBL in Pool A, 3 from metro in Pool B and continue with this pattern. And base your seedings off each teams final league standings?

Nailed it Josh, having two sub 500 teams instead of Pictou, Hants, NR and Yarmouth is frightening. When I heard about us getting a bye, I almost bought a plane ticket and fled to ebola country, I was that freaked out. "Cheney make comment, me angry, ooooooggga booooogggaa!!!!" A six or 8 team tourney of the top teams without a bye, in other words a level playing field isnt much to ask. Twist that statement into whatever you want to.

I don't think that just the presidents should be the only ones meeting. Why doesn't a rep from each team or 2 from each team also meet with them get this hashed out over a coffee or 8 or 9.

I had a chance to speak to Barry, and we to meet in the offseason to draft a framework for future Intermediate Provincials. I acknowledge this season's layout isn't an ideal scenario for either league. I assure everyone this will not be an issue 2015 onward. If you wish to participate, or have ideas for a solution - forward them to your respective league's President. Best of luck to all teams this weekend. Let's have some fun, and see how it all plays out. Hope to see a full house on Monday in Hantsport at Shamrock Field for the final.
