Ken, thanks for the kind words. We are happy that Melrose is a part of the MIT. Your players and fans really stepped up their game to make this year's tournament bigger and better than ever. You and your coaching staff should be very proud of your efforts. See you next year! Aloha Ron

Thank you for all of your support! It means a lot to my recovery. I got medical clearance today allowing me to come back Friday night when Tewksbury plays Saugus.  I am not allowed to play, but I can at least see the game.  I am so excited.  My swelling has decreased a lot and I can see:)

Chris, I am glad to hear that you are doing well. You really did a great job of staying calm while we all were scrambling to take care of you. Your team will miss you, but your job is to rest and take care of that eye. I hope you will feel strong enough to come by the park soon.

Ron thanks for the vote of confidence. I have some big shoes to try to fill. Al left a high standard to maintain. I disagree with you about the lineup in the hat. Just check next game. Even my players will check inside their hats at times. I don't leave home without it.

Al, Thanks for all the years you were part of this tournament. You are a big part of the success of the MIT and we appreciate your legendary contribution to our tournament. I hope we will see you down the park. By the way, the Wakefield coaches will do great this year, but they still haven't mastered the lineup card in the hat tradition you set forth for them. Great to hear from you!

Good luck to all of the 2009 participating teams in the M.I.T. Best of luck to the Wakefield players, Manager Frank Sauca and his excellent coaching staff. For those who may be new to the M.I.T. you are in for the best baseball experience you have ever had. In my experience with this tournament there has always only been one hard and fast rule. Let the players play, have fun and enjoy their baseball experience. Many thanks to the M.I.T. staff and many great people who give much of their time for the benefit of many.

Well, it is 7/16 and the tournament is only a few days away. From what I have heard ,there are going to be a few teams that will surprise everyone and upset the usual favorite teams. Come on down , the games will be good , the food is better than ever and what team will have the best supporting fans ? THE MIT TOURNAMENT ! It doesn't get any better than this !

Can't believe it. You guys were great. Wish you the best. Your services will be missed. You helped out alot of kids including my own. You can take pride and knowing that every kid that went to MIT Tufts left a little smarter and alot better in the sport. Again I wish you the best. Good luck.
