Fall 2008 HAACH sports - signup has begun!

BOYS SOCCER:

Elementary level:  ages 8-10  twice weekly for 8 weeks beginning mid-August.  Practice days are Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg led by Coach Joe Watza. This is non-competitive with the exception of intramural games.   Season ends with a picnic/award nite at the soccer field. 

Junior High level:  grades 5th -8th grade (5th graders will be taken if they meet skill requirements and after priority is given to 6th - 8th graders).  Commitment is 3x weekly.  Practice times are M,T,TH from 6-8 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg.  The team will play 14-16 games and end the season with a year-end tournament.  This team participates in the MMIAA league, which encompasses several local grade schools.   The farthest from Brighton is Holly Academy.  Full list of schools will be listed on the website.  Coach position open - asking for applications/qualifications.

High School JV/Varsity:  grades 9-12. Commitment is 3x weekly with possible 4th day on tournament weeks.  Practice times are M,T,TH from 6-8 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg.  The team will play approx. 16 games and end the season with the state home school tournament.  Tentatively planning to attend the National Soccer Home School Tournament in Fort Wayne, IN on the weekend of Oct 31/Nov 1.  We are pleased to welcome Coach Nathanael Shaw as our new Varsity Head Coach, moving up after 2 years coaching Junior High. 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL:

Elementary level:  grades 5 and 6.  Commitment level is 3x weekly.  Team will play approx. 12 - 14 games and finish the season with the year end MMIAA tournament.

Junior High level:  grades 7 and 8.   Commitment level is 3x weekly.  Team will play approx. 12 - 14 games and finish the season with the year end MMIAA tournament.

JV/Varsity level:  grades 9-12.  More details on volleyball will be available on the HOME page when signup begins.
