The Hayward youth Soccer League is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides recreational and competitve soccer programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 19 years old living in Hayward and neighboring cities.
The purpose and objectives of this League shall be to develop promote and govern the game of soccer among youth under the age of 19 without regard to race, creed, sex or ability within the City of Hayward and its surrounding communities.
Annual General Meeting
Attention All Members
The Hayward Youth Soccer League will be having its Annual General Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 at Schafer Park School located at 26268 Flamingo Ave., Hayward, CA 94544. This is an opportunity for all league members (parents & referees) to vote on new board members and any issues involving changes to the HYSL bylaws and constitution. There are currently 13 board members on the Board of Directors, of which 7 will be open and anyone can apply. If interested, e-mail Fred Chavez at fredchavez@sbcglobal.net or call the hotline at 881-HYSL. The job descriptions are posted on our website at www.hysl.org.
We would like to thank all of the coaches and parents who have generously provided their time and effort to ensure that all kids have the opportunity to play soccer. This is a non-profit organization and its existence depends on volunteers.
The following proposal has been recommended for change and requires a majority vote to change them. If the proposal is approved it would not be in effect until the next AGM in 2009, (2010 Playing season).

PROPOSED REVISION CHANGE BY-LAWS WORDING:
Current:
1.) The House Team Coordinators shall serve as the agent of all the players and coaches within the applicable age/ gender group (U-14 House Coordinator).
Proposed:
1.) Eliminate U-14 House Team Coordinator Position. These duties will now be handled by the U-12 Coordinator, who will be responsible for U-12 through U-19 House Teams.
