It never rains at Liberty Bell...
...but just in case here's the weather at a glance.

Please join our email lists to receive email updates about your areas of interrest. You can join as many groups as you like. The link is located under the leftside menu bar.

It was an unbelievable season for Liberty Bell this year with 25 travel teams with boys and girls ranging in ages from 7 to 18 playing. Out of the 25, 23 made it to compete in playoffs which is amazing on it's own. Out of those 23 there were 14 that went on to compete in their championship games, with 8 teams winning their titles. Our 18 & under girls coached by Joe McNally won the NEPL Championship, our 15-16 boys coached by George Kennedy won the NEPL Silver Championship and our 13-14 boys coached by Sean Owens won the NEPL Bronze Championship. In addition to those teams, the 5 other teams were managed by Barry Kneedler. Barry and his staffs managed to own the Philadelphia Department of Recreation Championships for the 8 & under, 9 & under, 10 & under, 11 & under and the 12 & under divisions.

Anyone that has pictures of the other teams please send them in.

Congragulations to Coach Scott Johnson and his in house pitching machine team. The "Chrushers" beat Coach Mike Fein team in a great Championship game that had no clear winner until the end.
Thanks to all of our coaches, assistant coaches and parents for making the season a great success for our kids. Special thanks to our in house director Ken Hoffman for organizing an excellant season that had great games from beginning to end.

We're now accepting additional sponsors on our home run fence on field #5.

Since these signs are large, and located at field #5 near the playground area you will not only reach LBYO and visiting families but also reach families using the playground facilities including the preschool people!

Click the link up top for more information.

    Brian Niemczak Foundation
Special thanks to the Brian Niemczak Foundation

The Brian Niemczak Foundation has once again committed to the youth of LBYO. Previous donations of catcher's equipment (as seen above), batting helmets, hats and visors are now joined by arm bands for the players.

    bnf

Brian was a neighborhood kid who played sports at LBYO and passed away in 2000. His family has been active in assisting neighborhood children in various ways since Brian's death, and now has graciously donated this new equipment to us. Funds are raised through various fundraisers, mainly their annual golf outting at Bensalem CC.

    General Meetings
LBYO has membership meeting on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 9pm. Our club supports hundreds of kids in the neighborhood, most likely including yours. Come out and see what's going on, help your organization thrive. Lend us your mind for 1 hour on 2 nights per month. We'll even make it worth your while, if you make the required 12 meetings in 12 months you can become a "voting member," who's rights include half off registrations. For more information email us at info@lbyo.org

    Field locations!
    Field locations are approximate!
Remember that each field location will have SEVERAL diamonds at each location. Sometimes these fields are very far apart. Make sure with your coach which individual field your game is located at, so that you can attempt to park as close as possible. For example, Bustleton has many fields all along Roosevelt Blvd, but some are closer to the mall at Red Lion Rd and some are closer to Conwell Ave. Torresdale BC has many fields, some seperated by the I-95 ramps. Again, your BEST source of information is YOUR team's coach!
