*** 2016 SPRING AGES ARE IN EFFECT ***

8YO Machine Pitch: This division should be made up of Spring age 7 year olds that will be playing machine pitch next Spring. The players that played 8yo machine pitch this past Spring should enter the 8YO Kid Pitch division.

8YO Kid Pitch: This division is for players that were 8yo in the Spring to continue to develop on the 46/60 field facing live pitching from opposing players. There are some age appropriate rule modifications to make sure we are developing baseball skills and not developing track stars.

9YO National Division: This division is for your rec 9yo players. The rules are identical to the 8yo kid pitch.

9YO American Division: This division is for your stronger 9yo players – essentially the Barnegat tournament teams with Barnegat Tournament rules.

10YO Division: This division is for your rec 10yo players. Book rule for the most part. 10YO All Stars would be encouraged to play in Majors division.

Majors National Division: This division is for your rec 10yo, 11yo, and 12yo players. 12yo’s are encouraged to play up to the division they will play in the Spring (50/70 or Juniors).

Majors American Division: This division is for your All Star 10yo and 11yo players. 12yo’s are encouraged to play up to the division they will play in the Spring (50/70 or Juniors).

50/70 National: 11, 12 and 13 year old division. This division is for teams made up of primarily rec players with maybe a couple of All Star players if registration dictates that. This would be primarily book rule.

50/70 American: 11, 12 and 13 year old division though 13's are encouraged to play up to Juniors. This division is for teams made up of primarily All Star or strong rec players (though teams may have a couple of weaker players if registrations dictate). This would be primarily book rule.

Juniors National: 12, 13, and 14 year old division. This division is for teams made up of primarily rec players with maybe a couple of All Star players if registration dictates that. This would be primarily book rule.

Juniors American: 12, 13, and 14 year old division. This division is for teams made up of primarily All Star or strong rec players (though teams may have a couple of weaker players if registrations dictate). This would be primarily book rule.

Seniors: this division is for 14, 15, and 16 year olds. Previous years registrations did not have enough teams to support both A and B divisions, so they were combined into one Senior division. We will use A and B if team counts allow. B is for primarily rec teams and A primarily All Star caliber teams.

Big League: we have not historically had team registration to support Big League teams. If we have enough teams, we will have a Big League division for 16/17/18 year olds.
