It's hard to believe the regular season is over. Its been a great season with a lot of good baseball games and plays. Now on to last week. Congrats to all our 2nd half champs who also won the overall championship in each division as well.

AA 7/8 American

The Dodgers clinched the 2nd half and overall championship with a run in the bottom of the 6th to win against the Cardinals 7-6. The Cardinals rebounded to win over the Phillies on Saturday 10-5.The Reds won an exciting game against the Angels 8-7 after tagging out the tying run at plate in the 6th. The Dodgers closed out the last game of the regular season with a 19-10 win over the A's

AA 7/8 National

The Rockies closed out the season championship with a big win over the Marlins to go a perfect 20-0 on the year. The Red Sox won in a comeback thriller against the Braves. After rallying from 7 down to tie the game at 13 all in the 4th, the Red Sox then scored two in bottom of 6th to win 15-14 and finish 9-1 in the 2nd half. The young Blue Jays closed out the season with a win over the Phillies to finish at 5-5.

A 5/6 American

The Braves dropped 2 games this week with a hard fought loss to the Indians and the Phillies but won the 2nd half when the Cubs beat the Yankees earlier in the week.

A 5/6 National

The Indians survived a scare from the Braves being down 8-2 but rallied for a 13-8 win to capture the 2nd half and overall championship with a perfect 17-0 season. Great Job. The Rangers (8-1) closed out the season with a couple of wins and highlighted by an unassited triple play by Emerson Fitizwilson. Phillies closed out the season playing their best ball with 2 wins including a win over the Braves.

Thanks to all the coaches and parents for sacrificing your time for these kids to play baseball. It's amazing to see the development of these players from the beginning of the season to now.

Reminder Closing Cermonies are Thursday at 6 then its on to the district tournments June 27th for the all star teams. Best of luck and bring home the hardware.

Lastly I would like to thank Andrea and Tabitha for all their hard work as commisioners this year. Its a lot of long hours at the park each week and just know its very much appreciated by all.

Saurday and Sunday were filled with a lot of key games in determining 2nd half champions. Even though the weather may have had delayed us, the playoff pictures are much clearer now.

AA 7/8 American 

The Dodgers (5-3) started the weekend off Friday night with an impressive 17-0 win over the Blue Jays. The Dodgers after being delayed a day lost a hard fought battle to the Marlins 9-7. With the Angels beating the Braves on Satuday then losing to the Red Sox, the Dodgers have a 2 game lead with 2 games to play.The Reds won over the Phillies 9-6 Sunday afternoon after 2 impressive flyball catches  in the outfield by Garrett Decker and Alec Tapp.

The Rockies (8-0) kept on rolling this weekend with big wins over the Red Sox 17-0, A's 17-9 and Reds 14-2 to remain undefeated on the season. What a great diving catch in the outfield by the Rockies Chance Adams in the first ininng against the Red Sox. The Rockies now have a 1 game lead with 2 to play.The Blue Jays bounced back to soundly defeat the Cardinals while the Red Sox also rebounded with an 11-2 win over the Angels. The Marlins got back on the winning track by defeating the Phillies and Dodgers over the weekend.

A 5/6 American

The Braves (5-2)  got a win over the Red Sox on Friday night then won the big showdown game with the Yankees 14-10 on Saturday. The Braves now have a 2 game lead with 2 to play. The Cubs put up 16 runs in wins over the Pirates and A's.

A 5/6 National

The Indians (7-0) kept the undefeated streak going with a 10-3 win over the Phillies. The rain delayed Rangers (6-1) beat the A's to stay 1 game back. We also had an extra inning game before the rain it on Saturday with the Reds outlasting the Red Sox 9-5. The Phillies rebounded on Sunday to defeat the Reds 12-8.

Lastly I want to thank all the guys who helped get the fields back in playing condition on Saturday after receiving a bunch of rain in a short time period. We could not have played without your help.


Memorial Weekend Update 5-24-15

It's hard to believe we only have 2 weeks left in the regular season. A lot of key games left to determine our 2nd half champions in all divisions.

AA 7/8 American

The Dodgers (4-2) despite losing this weekend have a 2 game lead on the Braves and Angels heading into this week. The Dodgers catch the young but much improved Blue Jays on Friday and a tough Marlins team at 1:00 on Saturday. The Braves (3-4) and Angels (2-4) play each other Saturday at 7:00 in a must win game for both.

AA 7/8 National

After the Rockies rolled in the first half, what an exciting 2nd half in the National league between the Red Sox (7-0), Rockies (5-0) and A's (5-1) after all 3 won on Saturday. This Saturday is the day to catch some 7/8 games as the Rockies in their quest for the 2nd half championship and a undefeated season play the Red Sox and A's in a double header at 4:00 and 5:30.

A 5/6 American

The Braves (4-1) and the Yankees (4-2) both won on Saturday setting up a key 2nd half matchup between the two teams on Saturday at 10:30.

A 5/6 National

The Indians (6-0) just continue to roll with a impressive win Saturday over the Ranger (5-1). The Indians are solid on defense and continue to put up runs as they look to go undefeated for the season. Shout out to Emmy Fitzwilson for turning not 1 but 2 double plays in that game for the Rangers. Also congrats to the Red Sox on scoring 3 runs in the last inning to beat the Phillies 13-12 in a very exciting and entertaining game.

AA 7/8- First Half Champions:

7-8 American - Dodgers 7-3

After starting the season 1-3 the Dodgers won their last 6 games to close out the first half championship.

7-8 National - Rockies 10-0

The Rockies continued their dominance after winning the Pre Season tournament by going undefeated in first half.


Single A  First Half Champions

5/6 American - Braves 6-3

The Braves and Cubs ended the first half tied. It set up a Sunday first half championship game which the Braves won in a thriller 11-10.

5/6 National - Indians 9-0

The Indians rolled through the first half undefeated.
