12U Brings home The State Championship
The 12U Team played in the 12U 46/60 Maryland State Championship on July 16th against Emmitsburg in Lusby, MD. Severn's 12U team captured its First State Championship beating Emmitsburg 19-3 to gain a berth into the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament. The Regional Tournament will be held in Staten Island, NY July 26- July 29th. The team will be playing the State Champions from the Mid Atlantic Region and the winner of this tournament will gain a berth to Massachusetts for the Cal Ripken World Series.
In 2011 the team lost the 11U 46/60 Cal Ripken Maryland State Championship in a close game to Calvert.

9U SEVERN SEMINOLES are the 2013 Spring Break Tournament Champions?
Congratulations to Severn's own 9U Tournament Team and their Coach Russel Griffith for winning the 9U Championship game at our Spring Break Tournament held this past weekend April 26-28, 2013 at Severn Danza and Queenstown Parks.
The 9U Severn Seminoles beat Severna Park in the opening game, tied with Mt Airy in the second game. Then went on to beat Urbana and face Chesapeake in the championship game.
With 50 teams from all over Maryland competing for championships in the 8U thru 14U divisions the 2013 SAC Spring Tournament was a huge success.
12U - 2011 Cal Ripken Maryland State Champions
In 2010 the team won the 11U 46/60 Cal Ripken Maryland State Championship. The team advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament and went 2-2 in pool play and lost 2-1 to Springfield, PA in the Quarter-Finals.

Severn's 11U Team are the 2013 Maryland State Cal Ripken 46/60 Champions
Coached by Brian Nevin the team did not make it easy for themselves losing Game 1 against Charles County by a score of 17-6. They then went on to win their second game against Frederick 23-6; Game 3 vs UMAC - winning17-0; in Game 4 they faced Frederick again this time winning 9-6. In the championship game they turned the tables on Charles County winning 8-7 to become the 11U State Champions.
