January 2009

The meeting was called to order by league president Andrew Bailey. The main order of business was to replace Board Members Karl Bullard & Larry Smither. After nominations were accepted Jason Peppas & Kevin Taylor were voted in as new members. All other members were re-elected for new 2 year terms. Starting the 2 year terms are: Larry Mills, Jason Peppas, Carl Bullard, Andrew Bailey & Jay Burris. Other members curently in their 2nd terms are: Mike Mckeown, Pat Medeiros, Chuck Dyer, Rick Parker & Kevin Taylor. Alma High School Coach Kevin Edwards has a unlimited term. Registration dates were set for March 10th, 12th, 17th & 19th. Drafts will be held Thursday April 2nd starting at 6:00pm at the Alma Middle School. The season will start April 20th

Meeting 1 2005
September 19, 2004

The meeting was called to order by President Larry Mills. Members not present were Pat Widders & Brooks Witherspoon. On agenda was new board member terms and election of officers. The first item was the issue of players allowed to play up in age groups. Upon extensive debate a motion was presented by Carl Ogilvie to allow a player to play up as long as each individual case was brought before the board and the issue of child safety is taken in to effect. The motion was seconded by Pat Medeiros and was passed unanimously by the board. Next up a motion was made by Karl Bullard to make Bob Farrah director of Softball. Bob is very ambitious and eager to help the Alma Softball Program grow and to make it more enjoyable for each child. Larry Mills, Karl Bullard, Carl Ogilvie and David Parrish were up for new terms and were each elected two more years. Jason Wheeler resigned from his position, his resignation was accepted. We thank Jason for his term on the board. Two nominations were made for a new board member and Jay Burris was elected as the newest member, Jay will start with a two-year term. Larry Mills was elected 2005 League President, Peanut Shepherd - Vice President, Karl Bullard - Treasurer, Carl Ogilvie - Concession, Pat Medeiros - Equipment, Larry Smith & David Parrish - Umpires. Discussion was held on the increasing problem of getting uniform shirts turned back after the season is over and the number that has to be replaced each year. Two options were offered, but have been tabled until the next meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 3rd at 8:00pm with a workday scheduled for Saturday October 9th.

October, 3 2004

Larry Mills called the meeting to order. All members were present with the exception of Peanut Shepherd. The first order of business was the issue of uniforms. After debate a motion was made by Chuck Dyer to raise the entry fee from $30 to $35 to allow players to keep their jerseys. The motion was seconded by David Parish and the vote was passed unanimously. Next were league directors, Larry Smither will be 2005 T-Ball Director, Carl Ogilvie Rookie Director, Jay Burris Minor Director, Larry Mills Major Director and Pat Medeiros Babe Ruth Director. A Motion was made by Carl Ogilvie to hire an outside source to bring in loads of dirt to level the basepaths to the grass infield, due to a safety issue on the projectory of the ball off the increasing lip that has developed. The motion was seconded by Larry Smither. The vote passed unanimously. 2005 Registration will be held on March 1st, 3rd, 15th & 17th. Drafts will be held on April 4th & 5th with the season starting on April 23rd. The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting TBA.
