Players will be placed on division team according to the weights and ages Eligibility Chart. Any player weighing 5% or more over the maximum weight for a Division at time of official physical examination will be assigned to the next higher Division, if age allows.
Please note: When placing a player in a Division, per conference rules, we must go by the weight on the player's medical release form turned in on July 15, 2017.
Each player must make weight for division/age by the first Conference Weight Certification date. Any player that is overweight will be noted on the team’s Red Line Roster and shall have until the second Conference Weight Certification date to make that weight. If the player fails to make weight by the Second Conference Certification date, that player will be lined off the team’s Red Line Roster and will not be able to play.
Practices start Monday, July 24, 2017. Please be at the field (Citrus Community Park) and ready by 6:00pm. The players must arrive wearing their practice attire; issued T-shirt, black shorts/sweats, jock with cup, helmet, socks and rubber molded cleats (no screw-on or metal).
**Practices will be held Monday thru Friday, 6:30-8:30pm for the entire month of August. Players are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early and are expected to attend EVERY practice.
**September to the end of the Season, practice is 3 days a week, Monday - Friday, 6:30pm-8:30pm (the days a team practices depends on team schedule the league establishes).
The first week of practice each division will practice together. There will be no contact the first week, only conditioning. All players MUST complete 10 hours of conditioning before he can participate in contact drills. If a player misses a day the first week, he will NOT be allowed to dress in pads and participate in contact drills until his conditioning time is completed. This is a Conference rule and must be followed. The second week of practice, the players will put on pads and go through drills involving contact. After the 2nd or 3rd day of contact, the draft will be held. Once your child has been drafted, an announcement will be made at practice as to which team your child will be on.
Your coach will expect your child to attend EVERY practice and to be on time! It is possible their season could last from August to December!! We ask that you schedule your vacations accordingly. It is important to remember that you and your child have made a commitment to football. For your child to get the most experience, he should attend every practice, be on time and be prepared to play. Any player who will miss practice MUST contact the Head Coach or the Team AD prior to practice. Unexcused absences from practices may result in disciplinary action.
Games are every Saturday, starting September 9, 2017. Our home games will be played at one of the High Schools in Corona. Our away games are in the Inland Empire some as far as Palm Desert or Murrieta. If your child’s team makes the playoffs it is possible that your child will have games every Saturday through the first week of December (YES, this includes Thanksgiving weekend).
