The Hillsborough Parks and Recreation Department rents out our two park pavilions on a first come/first serve basis.  Both parks feature a playground, heated rest rooms and a covered pavilion area with tables.  Please note you are only able to reserve the pavilion area, the park and playground are still open to the public. 

Pavilions are available to reserve at Ann Van Middlesworth Park, 570 Pleasant View Road (Max Capacity 35) and Docherty Park, 154 Route 206 South (Max Capacity 75).                                                  

Hillsborough Residents - cost is $75 for a 5 hour window (8 AM - 1 PM or 2 PM - 7 PM) or $150 for the whole day (8 AM - 7 PM). 

Out of Town Residents - cost is $100 for a 5 hour window (8 AM - 1 PM or 2 PM - 7 PM) or $200 for the whole day (8 AM - 7 PM).

Would you like to reserve the use of our "Party in the Park" Kit which includes: Sports Equipment such as a Soccer Ball, a Basketball, a Football & Spikeball. 

A $50 deposit will be required at pick up for the "Party in the Park" Kit.  

Your deposit will be returned to you when you return the equipment. 

Rules & Regulations

  1. Vehicles should be parked in the parking lot.  No vehicles of heavy equipment on the grass areas of the park
  2. Check the Parks & Recreation field closure site when conditions are poor at hillsboroughnjrecreation.org
  3. Keep this permit with you at all times.
  4. HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP MAINTAINS A “NO ALCOHOL” ORDINANCE IN ALL PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES.  THE TOWNSHIP WILL VIGOROUSLY ENFORCE THIS ORDINANCE THROUGH UNANNOUNCED FACILITY CHECKS BY THE HTPD.
  5. Please make sure all garbage and facilities are clean after usage.  Once the garbage on site is full, any extra garbage is the responsibility of the permit holder.
  6. This permit does not grant you exclusivity to the entire park but only in the designated area(s) approved by the Parks & Recreation Department.
  7. Absolutely NO amplified sound, music, DJ’s, radio stations, entertainment, inflatable amusements, rides, games, attractions, confetti and colored powder are allowed at the park.  Groups who include attractions and/or colored powder at their event are subject to immediate removal from the permitted area and forfeiture of all fees associated with the reservation.
  8. The pavilions are for family or group picnics only.  This is not an entertainment facility.  Permission is not granted to have gated events that charge entry fees.
  9. Bathrooms at all facilities are public and are not part of this permit.
  10. Charcoal fires permitted only in specifically constructed grill areas.
