About the Hillsborough Department of Parks and Recreation
Our mission is to enrich the lives of the residents of Hillsborough by providing safe, welcoming parks and recreation facilities and affordable, diverse recreation and social activities for people of all ages and abilities to play, learn, contemplate, build community, and be good stewards of our environment.
The Hillsborough Department of Parks and Recreation maintains the parks of Hillsborough and Flagtown and provides recreation programs for youth, adults, and seniors.
Youth programs include the instruction of fundamentals and skills of a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, softball, among others. Our youth programs begin for children as young as four years old. Sports leagues organized by the Department include fall and spring soccer, winter and summer basketball, and softball.
Adult programs include informal leagues for basketball and volleyball.
For a full list of program offerings, be sure to consult the program brochure, available on our website. To register, you may use the Community Pass system by clicking the Program Registration link; alternatively, you may call our office to register over the phone.
All parks are open to the public from 8:00am to dusk, as per Hillsborough Township Ordinances, unless a Department program is offered at the park. Parks and athletic fields maintained by the Department are listed under the Parks Directory link.

Saturday, May 24 Parade: 10:30am Ceremony following parade
Local veterans, fire companies, police, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, youth baseball and softball teams, and a variety of other community organizations will be marching in this year's parade.
The Garden of Honor ceremony will be held upon completion of the parade.
Parade Route: New Amwell Road to Beekman Lane to Municipal Building.

Registration begins February 28 and can be done online, by phone, or in person during normal business hours. Remember to register soon, as some programs fill quickly.
