Volunteering

With any school/community organization,  volunteering is required by those members to help the organization run smoothly. As the saying goes, "Many hands make light work". Unfortunately, we see many of the same hands carry the burden of many time and time  again. Some FR organizations have been put in the position to enforce/incur fees upon their player/family members to encourage them to put in their volunteer time costs ranging from $25 - upwards to $300.  We would hope within our approximate 130 players and 260 parents we would have the volunteer force to deter such fees and have everyone volunteer throughout the football season!

We ask that while signing up for commitees, that they are chaired by a Junior/Senior parent and also a Sophomore/ Freshman parent so that the duties can be learned and passed on with an easier flow between the years. This system also gives the Senior Parents an opportunity to relax a little and enjoy their last season with their son in FR football. One day you will hope someone does the same for you!

Please consider giving the value of your time to help make your player's experience the best it can be while he is here at Franklin Regional.

Thursday Night Dinners

The Thursday Night dinners are a tradition for the boys to go to have dinner at a local restaurant. The coaches pick the capatins and give a pep talk about the upcoming game. The  player of the week is announced and presented with a plaque and then they all eat and watch game highlight films.

This is a function that the booster pay for and the players do not need money.

Transportation -  Usually the coaches and  upperclassmen offer rides to underclassmen from the school to the restaurant immediately after practice - with the parents permission to have them do that.  Otherwise, parents need to pick their child up at the school at the end of practice and take them to the restaurant.
Parents are to  pick their player up at the restaurant at the end of dinner, which is usually around 7:00.

The Italian-American Club in Export is proud to be a host to our hungry Panthers Team.
