2013 - All-League Selection

Senior – 6' 2, 180 lbs.  Bats : R, Throws: R – IF - Tall athletic build,  – Tireless Worker, Top 25 Student in Senior Class. 7.07 60 yard dash, clocked at 84 MPH throwing across the diamond.  #2 ranked senior SS in NY (Perfect Game USA), Blue Chip Prospect Class of 2012 “Player to Watch”.  Excellent Range at SS, and a natural outfielder (4 assists in 5 OF starts in 2012).  Line Drive gap hitter with a work ethic that is second to none!  Batted .474 over final six games in 2012 including a 5 RBI performance against Hauppauge in his season finale.

Report from Perfect Game USA:  Schmitt stood out in all phases, running at 7.07, showing very good tools and arm strength at SS in workouts and feel for 3B during games with quick actions and carry across the diamond on throws. His bat was one of the best in BP and really stood out in games with a double to left-center and a no doubt home run to left field.

Player has committed to LeMoyne College

Senior – 6' 1', 210 lbs. Bats: R, Throws: R – P/IF - A Blue Chip Prospect Class of 2012 “Player to Watch”.  Contributed on the mound to 5 of team’s 7 wins in 2012.  Throws mid 80s with a plus curve and developing change-up.  Averages a strikeout per inning and improved as season progressed.  Was   4-0 with a save (2.48 ERA) after first two appearances.   Final start of season pitched a complete game 3-hitter with 10 Ks.

Player has committed to St. Rose College

Kenny Fils-Aime – 5’ 10”, 180 lbs. Junior – Bats: R, Throws: R – OF.  Has tremendous bat speed and drives balls to all fields.  Greed Speed, 7.00 – 60 Yard Dash (recorded at FGCU in Florida), tremendous raw ability and continues to improve through hard work.  Batted .321 as a sophomore (including .391 after becoming a starter).

·         Fluid stroke at the plate with excellent bat speed and had a live bat that could drive the ball to the gaps regularly and showed great speed on the base paths

2013 Suffolk County All-League Selection

Michael Amandola – 5’ 8”, 190 lbs. SOPH – Bats: R, Throws: R – C/IF -#2 ranked sophomore C in NY (Perfect Game USA), 2.10 POP Time, Line drive gap hitter to all fields.  Unparalleled work ethic and continues to improve in all aspects of the game.  Started as a Freshman and had a 5-week period where he batted .524, highlighted 3-3 game with 2 runs scored, a double and 2 RBIs in an 8-0 victory on April 24.

Accolades and Report from Perfect Game USA:

·         BCS 15u All Tournament Team:  Batted .467 with a HR and 5 RBIs

·         WWBA 15u All Tournament Team:  Batted .526 with .625 OBP and .632 SLG

·         January 2013:  took some of the better game action hacks of the day, showing a quick bat and some pull side power. His approach also looks very sound.  An aggressive swing, quick bat, uses backside well, line drive swing plane with lift.
