2016 Fundraising

Following a strong fundraising effort in 2015, we have purchased new catcher's equipment and fielder's masks for all our teams this spring. We've also purchased bats for the younger divisions and replaced worn or lost batting tees and base sets. We'd like to replace aging helmets and gear bags for next spring and direct money towards a renovation project at Optimist Park. This is only possible with your help.

In 2016, we've set a goal to raise $6,000 for the league through fundraising. We have a number of activities planned. Your participation in each is optional, but hope that you can find the time to help with at least one of our fundraisers. Color Night at Buffalo Wild Wings - On Monday, March 21st we invited all spring league players out to Buffalo Wild Wings (Midland Mall location) to vote for their team color. The team with the most votes cast in each division will wear their favorite color this spring. Buffalo Wild Wings returned 20% of revenue to MGSL. A big thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings and all who participated. We were able to raise $513.76 for MGSL!

Spring League Fundraiser - Spring league players sold Coyer candles (8 ounce mason jars), Coyer air fresheners & vouchers redeemable at Roy Kutchey Greenhouses. Profit from the fundraiser totaled $3,918! Hey girls, thanks for supporting your league.

Opening Day 50/50 Raffle - $425 for our league and lots of happy winners. Thanks to all who donated prizes for the raffle.
