This team of 2026's will be made of players primarily from the TBD Fall League - Iowa, and looking for extra baseball opportunites to finish the year in style.  As well and as as needed the Bancrofts extend invitations to players from quality organizations from other reaches of the baseball world.  This team will take a roster of 13 players with a possible flex to 14 and 15 for PO's (Pitchers Only).

This 2011 photo shows the Sioux City Bancrofts American Legion Baseball Team lined up on the 3rd base line in preparation for playing of the National Anthem prior to the start of the the Iowa American Legion Area I Tournament at Sioux City West High School on May 1 of that year. The Bancrofts originated in the summer of 2008 and through their five seasos through 2012 the "out of season" 3 season team sent some 60 players on to play college baseball.

TBD's PROPOSED TEAM #3 - Arcadia Chicken Shackers - 2026U

Any Oklahoma players with interest in traveling to Arizona with the Chicken Shackers will now be placed on the Sioux City Bancrofts

Why Arizona? Because it is an absolutely awesome baseball and lifetime experience to play in this Spring Training environment on Major League Baseball fields. As well it is covered by local and area colleges in the greater Phoenix that are recruiting high school players. TBD first took the Sioux City Bancrofts to this tournament for three years in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and it was phenomenal. The players loved the trip and the parents thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the long weekend. And in 2022 the Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis revitalizes this End of Fall - End of Year tradition for Total Baseball Development and our players in the greater Siouxland area and extended area of northwest Iowa.

Players must be invited to play. Invitations will be extended to primarily TBD Fall League players.  Criteria will be players that:

  • Have the ambition to play college baseball
  • Are not in football or varsity football and or are finished with football by October 17
  • And have been tried out, worked out, and or properly evaluated as a quality player by a coach at their school

*Each player must receive a recommendation as a quality player and positive and quality individual, and TBD will contact coaches of players interested in traveling to Pheonix for this recommendation.

For a testimonial and more first hand information about this trip please contact Matt Barnhart at (712) 330-1901 or by email at: mbarnhart@hlpcsd.org - Matt is father to Bo Barnhart of the Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis who traveled to Arizona last year for this trip. Matt played college baseball and is currently the Assistant Baseball Coach at Harris-Lake Park High School, and is also the Harris-Lake Park Community Schools Transportation Director and Supervisor of Grounds for the school.
