Registration for the 2017 Princeton Kids "Splash ‘n’ Dash" Aquathon is ongoing!

General Information:

- 4 Age Divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, & 13-14

- This will be a run/swim/run event and is open to both boys and girls

 - The Aquathon will take place on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at 8 AM 

 - $26 Entry fee


An Aquathon is a run/swim/run event. Participants will run at Community Park South, swim in Community Park Pool and finish the event with a run at Community Park South. This Aquathlon will offer unique opportunities for family members, volunteers, and sponsors to encourage physical activity and establish a life-long healthy foundation for kids.  The athletes will be on the road to a healthy active lifestyle while meeting new friends and building self-confidence. SPACE IS LIMITED FOR THIS RACE! A race information packet will be sent to your child after registration is received.



7-8 yrs: 0.5 mile (run)    50 meters (swim)     0.5 mile (run)

9-10 yrs: 0.5 mile (run)   100 meters (swim)     1 mile (run)

11-12 yrs: 1 mile (run)     150 meters (swim)     1 mile (run)

13-14 yrs:  1 mile (run)     200 meters (swim)    1.5 miles (run)

Fall 2017 Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic

 The Princeton Recreation Department will host the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) for volunteer youth sport coaches on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. The clinic will run from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the main meeting room of the Witherspoon Street Municipal Building (400 Witherspoon St). Attendees must be there for the entire 3 hour program. Anyone arriving after 7pm will not be allowed to enter. Doors will open at 6:30pm

The state of New Jersey requires volunteer coaches to attend a "safety orientation and training skills program" in order to be eligible for civil immunity protection provided by the Little League Law (2A:62A-6 et. seq.)  The curriculum for the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y.Clinic is based upon the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52) and has been tested in court as having met the standards.

·      Psychological Aspects of Coaching

·      General Coaching Concepts

·      Training and Condition Athletes

·      Medical/First Aid Aspects of Coaching

2017 Longwood Gardens Guided Tour Holiday Trip -

Date: Tuesday, December 5, 2017 
Time: 12:30 pm - 7:30 pm (please be at the bus by 12:15 pm)
Depart/return: CP Pool Parking Lot (400 Witherspoon St.)
Fee: $50 includes round-trip motor coach bus transportation and entrance fee to the Gardens. (Non-refundable)
