Coaching Philosophy & Objectives
(Regular Season League sports are open; all who sign up & follow rules get playing time. Club/All-Star/Championship/Playoff teams etc. positions and playing time are earned & at coaches' discretion; focus for coaches shifts more to winning the competition).

Our primary objectives for young athletes is to help them develop physically, mentally, in their sports abilities, and their passion for sports while learning lessons to be Champions in life. We coach young athletes to understand it is a privilege to be involved in sports programs and they earn the privilege to participate through honorable conduct on and off the field or court. Furthermore, we encourage them to focus on the areas within their control; their Leadership example, effort, attitude, and personal performance.

As an organization we believe it is imperative to create an environment for youth to gain confidence through competence. Therefore; all involved, including parents, spectators, and coaches; should bear in mind the purpose of their involvement. Youth sports are about the youth; decisions, instruction, and interaction will be conducted with the best interest of the kids.

We believe youth coaches are instrumental in establishing the foundation that kids will build upon for years to come. Therefore, being a youth coach should be considered a privilege. While we coach athletes to do all within their control to compete to win, we expect coaches keep winning and losing in context, especially during open league sports. The focus of open youth leagues is to achieve the primary coaching objectives. Coaches and parents should recognize and utilize winning and losing as tools to motivate and evaluate. Motivation to win or avoid losing can inspire youth to continually improve. As an evaluation tool it can help determine if improvement is being achieved and where more improvement is needed. While we all desire to win, coaches should bear in mind coaching objectives during regular season youth league level. Coaches should place emphasis on offering a balanced approach between instruction, enjoyment, and competition.  However; playoff, championships, club. all star, select etc teams greater emphasis by coaches will be placed on competition and winning; there is no minimum playing time rules in those instances.

Coaching Objectives:
1) Develop, solidify, & advance fundamentals along with sports IQ that prepare kids for school level sports.
2) Improve physical and mental fitness by teaching them to train like Champions.
3) Teach, demonstrate, instill, & reward qualities of good leadership, effort, attitude, and performance.
4) Develop a passion for sports by combining purpose, structure, & quality instruction in a fun & safe environment.
5) Ensure all kids play each game and starts are rotated. (Playing time is subject to kids adhering to rules such as attendance and attitude. Playing time minimums may vary by sport or competition level.)
