Here are the results of the Skills Competetion held at Green Valley Park Friday night.

Hitting Contest:

2nd: Mason Chesnoski, Beaver

Running Contest:
1st: Santino Guandolo, Freedom
2nn: Dominic Samangy, Monaca

Pitching Contest:
1st: Bryce Ramer, Beaver
2nd: Chandler McGurk, Rochester

Although the games were not close in terms of score,the excitement from both sides in both BCYBL 12-yr old classic games was pretty even. Having the opportunity to play against their regular season teammates brought out many of the smiles during the games. Check out some photos in the photo album section of the site. Crivelli Chevrolet continued their amazing run through the playoffs, winning their 6th consecutive game with a 13-3 victory over Beaver A.K. Nahas Monday night in the first championship game. The loss for A.K. Nahas is their first of the playoff season which means a second and final championship rematch Tuesday night in Beaver. Bryce Ramer led the way for Crivelli with a pair of run scoring doubles and a home run.

Beaver's Dr. Spokane Orthodonics made a big comeback in extra innings to defeat New Brighton's Craig's Hardware 6-5 in seven innings to earn a championship birth vs. New Brighton's Frontier Falls. 1st game to be held at New Brighton on 6-27. The game was tied 4-4 before New Brighton scored in the top of the seventh to go ahead 5-4. But Spokane came back with 2 runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a victory at Bob Dull field in Beaver.

Rochester Boro Fireman won the BCYBL Farm League Championship by defeating New Brighton Pharmacy 10-5 Tuesday night at Rochester. Congratulations to coach JT Drumm and all of his players and coaches.

After Monday night's 13-3 defeat to Beaver Crivelli, it looked like AK Nahas was in a bit of trouble even though they came out of the winners bracket. But AK Nahas saw it differently. AK Nahas came out Tuesday and ended Crivelli's 6-game playoff winning streak and captured the Little League championship with a 6-4 victory. Congratulations to Nahas for the win and to Crivelli for one of the greatest playoff runs in BCYBL history.

When you think of an undefeated season, you may think that it was easy. One thing is for sure, Frontier Falls championship game victory was anything but easy. Beaver's Dr. Spokane team gave NB everything they could handle as Frontier Falls held on in the sixth inning to capture the Minor League Championship 12-11. Beaver started out fast with an early 5-1 lead. But Frontier Falls ran off 11 unanswered runs to pull ahead 12-5 after four innings. Beaver needed a run in the fifth to keep the game going...they scored two to make it 12-7. After holding NB in the bottom of the fifth, Beaver needed five runs to tie. They worked hard to get four but Frontier Falls was able to slam the door with the tying run on third giving New Brighton their first BCYBL title in any division. Congratulations to coach Jeff Wijnen-Riems and the Frontier Falls team on their championship and undefeated season.
