How are teams assigned?
All players, grades 3rd through 8th, must participate in the assessment process*, which is managed by high school coaches, high school players, and MJBA coaches/Board members. This will help determine the skill level for each player.  Minors, Juniors, and Seniors teams are chosen through a draft process following evaluations.  T-ball and rookie teams will be assigned by the MJBA Vice President for Tball and Rookie.
*At no time are the evaluators given a list of player names. Each participant will be assigned a number at assessments.

What are the frequencies of practices and games?
T-ball and Rookie- Practices will be held twice a week (Mon-Fri) for two weeks prior to the start of games. Once games begin, they will play on Saturdays at Hector Campbell Elementary and practice schedules will then be TBA by the coaches for each team.
Minor/Junior/Senior - Practices will be held a minimum of two days at their home field. Many Juniors and Seniors teams will have four days a week practices (TBA by Coach). Once games begin, coaches may elect to practice on weeknights or Saturdays as field availability allows. Games will be 2-3 times per week. Home games will be held at local Milwaukie school fields which are assigned to each team. Away game locations will be determined once Clackamas County JBO creates the schedule. Locations can include areas all over the regional area and generally up to one hour away.

Are there opportunities to play in Tournaments?
Minor, Junior and Senior level may play in (up to) 2-3 weekend tournaments (or more!) determined by the coach and by the sponsorship dollars that are raised by each team.

What are sponsor dollars?
T-ball and Rookie teams are required to raise a minimum of $100 per team. Sponsor dollars help keep MJBA registration fees low so that all youth in our community have the opportunity to play. Minor, Junior and Senior levels are required to raise a minimum of $300 per team. Minor, Junior and Senior level may play in (up to) 2-3 weekend tournaments (or more!) determined by the coach and by the sponsorship dollars that are raised by each team.   It is expected that Minor, Junior, and Senior teams raise enough funds to play in 2-3 weekend tournaments, at minimum.

What is fundraising?
All players will be required to sell $50 in Tillamook meat sticks or you may give a $50 buyout if you do not want your player selling (options are available when you register).  Again, fundraising helps keep MJBA registration fees low so that all youth in our community have the opportunity to play.
