NRRC Mission Statement

 The North Roanoke Recreation Club is dedicated to "Giving Youth Athletes the Opportunity" to develop their skills and to utilize sports as a vehicle for developing self esteem, discipline, and confidence, while exhibiting good sportsmanship.

 Our Guiding Principals

Our Mission is supported by the following guiding principles: 

1. Provide quality coaching focused around the athlete’s development in skills, self  esteem, discipline, and confidence.
2. Provide an atmosphere which fosters development, competition, and learning how to win and lose in a way that encourages positive sportsmanship.
3. Partner with Roanoke County Parks and Recreation and our North County Schools (Burlington, Glenn Cove and Mountain View Elementary Schools) providing quality facilities that support our recreation programs, as well as the programs of our schools, where our participants may aspire to be young athletes.
4. Partner with our North County Middle and High School athletic programs to integrate these programs, their spirit, and their philosophy into our youth athletic programs to foster a high degree of community within our North Roanoke athletic programs.
5. Foster an environment which helps our athletes understand as Vince Lombardi said, that "Winning is not everything but making the effort to win is."
